Kevin Birech

Kevin Birech

by Peter Kimeu / Saturday, 25 July 2020 / Published in STEM 2019/2020

I am Kevin Birech,  the STEM staff at  UoN Kikuyu Campus and Presbyterian University of East Africa CUs.

I joined STEM with a lot of expectations among them sharing the joy and the truth of the gospel by presenting it in the most exciting way possible. I desired to develop conversations and relationships as a means of steering the students to an orthopraxy that reflects Christ.

I will miss the moments we spent with the students, meeting new faces, and getting to know them. It was amazing how God could influence me to deliver His word. The team building activities, advising students, and seeing them get to the right track gave me joy and satisfaction.

The discipline of consistent Bible Reading has greatly contributed to me developing biblical truth which enables me to stand firm for Christ and grow in faith. Others like book reading and journaling, budgeting, and contentment have also been richly cultivated in me.

It is my desire that God will raise an army among students who will continue developing biblical worldviews, clarity of the truth of the gospel, and a willingness both to defend it and declare it. To my partners who have always and sacrificially supported me in prayers and finances, may God supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. For the FOCUS family, I believe that God is not unjust; may He never forget your work and the love you have shown as you serve His people.

As I intend to join the corporate world, I  have a burden of supporting God’s work while being the salt and the light of the world.
