As the father Has sent me,so I send you John 20:21

Mission and Training  -  Rev. Femi Adeleye
This plenary will seek to ask the following questions: what is the place of training in as far as mission work is concerned? What are the opportunities that exist in this whole area? Does training focus only on Theological studies or can my profession fall within this bracket? What is the relationship between formal training (for God's work) and the outworking of the Holy Spirit?

Mission and Ethnocentricism -  Mr. Antoine Rutayisire
In this plenary, we shall seek to clarify the difference between a person’s ethnic identity versus Ethnocentricism. What is God’s view of ethnicity? What is the possible root cause of Ethnocentricism? What is its potential impact? What is the responsibility of a Christian in a society/continent that is hanging on the delicate rope of Ethnocentricism?

Justice and Governance: The Christian’s Mandate-  Amb. Sheila Siwela
This plenary shall seek to explore the ever evasive issues of justice and governance in all spheres of life, especially at state level and within the structures of governance. How can we ensure that in our structures of governance there is rule of polity, equitability of resources to all, by all and for all; political structures and systems that get rid of exploitation, corruption, greed, etc.? What is the role of the Christian (church) in ensuring that the intrinsic human dignity, the image of God in man is not violated by man’s brutality, violence and injustices? How can the Christian (church) advance "justice for all"?

Mission and Environment -  Prof. James ole Kiyiapi
In this plenary, we will be asking ourselves: what is the biblical basis for ecological care? Can ecological action be considered a legitimate part of the Christian mission? Why should Christians care about the non-human creation? Is Christian creation care different from secular environmental action? If so, how? How can care for creation as part of the Christian mission be expressed? How does environmental/ecological neglect affect human life?

Mission and Post Modernity -  Rev. Joel Edwards
In this plenary, we will be asking ourselves: what is post-modernity, an ideology, a culture or a worldview? Is it a threat or an opportunity to the course of the Gospel? How are we to deal with the reality of its presence in our context, especially as we grapple with issues of relativism, pluralism, hedonism, individualism, young people questioning and rebelling authority, a crave for an alternative religion (New Age), etc? How are we to deal with the media, which is a key influencer and carrier of post-modern ideologies?

Mission and The Family -  Tom & Helen Malande
In this plenary, we will seek to address the pertinent issue of: how do we socialize our children into God’s work and Christian faith in general? One of the ways in which Islam, for example, is spreading fast is through family, first, through “lack” of family planning, but also by socializing every child into the Islamic faith. What about children born in a Christian family? Why are Christians not so keen into socializing their children in to the faith they confess as parents/guardians? Coupled with this is the whole question of an apparent but observable lethargy and indifference among the youth towards faith in God and involvement in His work. What is informing this indifference? Since the family is the core unit of the society, how can we use it intentionally as a strategic focal point for the spread and growth of Christian mission?

Mission and Local Church -  Pr. Oscar Muriu
In this plenary, we will be asking ourselves: what is the place of the Local Church in world mission? How can we develop our members to be "mission-minded" wherever they are? As Africa and the rest of the global South takes lead in defining the next taste of Christianity, what role shall the Local Church play in mobilizing, sensitizing, equipping and sending the next missionary force? What models of mission approaches and expressions shall the Church in the South run with: Western, indigenous or a hybrid?

Mission and Partnership -  Prof. Mark Shaw
In this Plenary, we shall seek to highlight the need for partnership in God’s work. No one is called to do God’s work alone. How can we share and utilize each other’s gifts in the Kingdom of God, whether at individual level, ministry level, continental level and even globally? What mutual partnerships can and do exist between the economically rich North (but which is emerging as a mission frontier) and the spiritually rich South (but which does not have the massive resources that might be needed in this whole venture)? How can we avoid duplication of work and redundancy but work towards synergy?

Mission and Career -  Mr. John Ng’ang’a
In this plenary, we will seek to examine the critical question: how is my career a calling from God (my life’s mission)? How can I use my career to intentionally engage God’s mission and open up new mission frontiers? How can Christian professionals remain Christians in their professions (in regard to ethics and values) in a culture that is corrupt and full of impunity?

Yes Lord, Send Me -  Mr. Calisto Odede
The plenary is intended to present an official challenge and invitation to the delegates to make a practical commitment for involvement in God’s mission as His ambassadors. He has sent us; we need to say, “YES!” We need to respond openly, committing ourselves to be carriers of and channels through which the Kingdom of God can be experienced by the world through the values that we exhibit. As such, this plenary is intended to “wrap up the entire conference” by presenting an official and intentional call for commitment, and presenting the forum through which those who make such commitment can be prayed for and even counseled.
